KINGS OF PARTHIA. Artabanos VI, circa AD 216-224. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 2.89 g, 12 h), Ekbatana. Diademed and draped bust of Artabanos VI to left, wearing tiara; to right, 𐡓𐡏 ('ar' in Aramaic). Rev. Archer (Arsakes I) seated right on throne, holding bow; below bow, mint monogram. Sellwood 89.1 (Artabanos IV). Shore 464 (Artabanos IV). Sunrise 461. Beautifully toned and with a beautiful portrait of the last Parthian king. Somewhat porous and with very minor deposits, otherwise, extremely fine.
